Colleville battery

Located north of the Hillman strongpoint, which served as a command post for the 736th Infantry Regiment, Colleville Battery was made up of four horse-drawn 100-mm guns, which were initially installed on platforms, before being given the protection of casemates.

The position, codenamed Morris by the Allies, was taken by the British without too much difficulty in the early afternoon of June 6th.
