Some
of the bodies of the 70 men of the 2nd French Armoured
Division who died during the fighting in the Orne department were
returned to their families.
The
necropolis in Les Gateys (Radon village), which was inaugurated in 1970,
holds the remains of just 19 soldiers, which were transferred
there from communal cemeteries.
