Mont-Coquerel battery

This German army battery was installed on the slopes of Mont-Coquerel, above the village of Quinéville.  It comprised four 105-mm guns housed in casemates.

Due to their insufficient range and their distance from the landing zone, they did not represent a threat to the American troops landing on Utah Beach on June 6th 1944.
