Situated on the beach where the Canadians, alongside other Allied forces landed in June 1944, the Juno Beach Centre portrays the role played by Canada in the Second World War, particularly in Normandy. As well as a centre for history, education and heritage, the Juno Centre also offers the public a chance to discover the diff erent faces of contemporary Canadian society and undestand the culture and values of the country through a collection of films, archive recordings and interactive stations. In addition to its permanent display, the only Canadian museum on the Landing Beaches also houses temporary exhibitions and has a special circuit for younger visitors and entertainment for school groups. Accompanied by a young Canadian guide it is also possible to have an escorted tour of Parc Juno and its remnants of the Atlantic Wall, notably the bunker located opposite the museum.
