Located on the edge of the Landing Beaches, the Pegasus Memorial details the different missions the British 6th Airborne Division had to accomplish during the night of 5/6 June 1944. These were the first soldiers to set foot on Normandy soil during Operation Overlord. One of their first objectives was to seize the Bénouville Bridge, better known as Pegasus Bridge. In the hands of professional guides, the visit to the Pegasus Memorial will help you relive dawn on 6th June. The artefacts on display are for the best part donated by British veterans.

Using a relief map and archive film, the guide will explain how the operation unfolded. In the grounds of the museum stands the original Pegasus Bridge as well as a unique full scale replica Horsa glider.
